At this time of year, we look
to what we are thankful for. We have so many blessings in our lives.
We have food, clothes, shelter, friends, family, all sorts of things
that many in other countries do not have. But so many times we focus
on what we don't have. And then we wonder why we aren't happy.
I
have a challenge for you.
Every day until the end of the year, find
5 things every day that you are truly thankful for. Start focusing on
what you have instead of what you don't have. See how your life
changes then make a New Years resolution to find the blessings in
every day.
You may just find that you are a little happier.
I am thankful for:
my family
warm
house
food to fill my stomach
friends to fill my heart
God to fill
my soul
At our house, we are, every day,
writing down something we are thankful for and putting it in a glass
pumpkin. On Thanksgiving morning, we will be reading all the notes.
Since there are 5 people in my family, we will be reading about 100!
That's a lot of thankfulness! Just a way to remind us that there
really is so much to be thankful for.
