Thankful

At this time of year, we look to what we are thankful for. We have so many blessings in our lives. We have food, clothes, shelter, friends, family, all sorts of things that many in other countries do not have. But so many times we focus on what we don't have. And then we wonder why we aren't happy.

I have a challenge for you.

Every day until the end of the year, find 5 things every day that you are truly thankful for. Start focusing on what you have instead of what you don't have. See how your life changes then make a New Years resolution to find the blessings in every day.

You may just find that you are a little happier.

I am thankful for:

my family
 warm house
 food to fill my stomach
 friends to fill my heart
 God to fill my soul

At our house, we are, every day, writing down something we are thankful for and putting it in a glass pumpkin. On Thanksgiving morning, we will be reading all the notes. Since there are 5 people in my family, we will be reading about 100! That's a lot of thankfulness! Just a way to remind us that there really is so much to be thankful for.

What are you thankful for?

Visiting Hours

Spent the evening around family at the viewing for my husband's uncle.
Times like this always make me think about others that have passed.
It's a sad time but joyous as well as I know that my loved ones are no longer in pain
and that I will one day see them again.
But still.....I do wish there were visiting hours...

I'm here!!!

Sorry I have been gone so long.  As many of you know, I have 3 disabled children.  I have had a lot going on with them lately and, in addition to that, I have had a 24/7 headache for about 4 weeks now.  Doesn't make thinking very easy!  I will be getting back to blogging soon but in the meantime, can you pray for me?  Let me know your prayer requests and I will pray for you also.
